“Thank you,” I said and yawned. “This was fun.”

“It was my pleasure,” he said.

The streets were void of cars and people, decreasing the time we spent riding back to our hotel. Hendrix thanked the driver, and we shuffled to the elevators.

“What floor are you on?” Hendrix said once we were inside.

  “Twenty.”

He pushed the button, and I slid my arms around his back and rested my head on his shoulder. The bell rang too fast, and he brought me to my room.

“I don’t want you to go,” I said, looking into his eyes.

  “Shelia, don’t feel—,” he said.

“I want to stay with you.”

“I don’t want to pressure you—”

“But I want you to.” Was that me talking there?

  “Alright.”

He smiled then walked me back to the elevator. We went to his floor. He said it wasn’t a penthouse suite, but it sure did appear to be that way once I stepped inside. I didn’t do much more observing because he secured me in his arms and his plush lips locked onto mine. I held onto his shoulders as he tasted my lips inch by inch and explored my mouth.

Breaking for air, he moved to my neck. I snuck in a little tasting of my own before he stepped back to remove his shirt. He continued to be that “gentleman” by helping me remove mine.

I was so glad I was right. The man’s pecs, and biceps, and abs were ripped.

“Come here beautiful,” he said and brought me close to him to walk into one of the rooms.

With one arm still wrapped around me, Hendrix lit the dim room by clicking the switch to a hollow, oval shaped mood light. It sat on a cherry wood night stand. A fourth of the room glowed in a soft yellow.

  I chuckled.

“What’s so funny?” he said in his deep, sexy voice, into my ear. He nibbled at the tip of the lobe, sparking heat that rippled down my body.

“I thought that light would glow some sort of neon color,” I said. I was pretty surprised to get out all of my words.

“Oh, it does,” he said and clicked a switch, turning the light to blue then a pink color. “If you’re feeling adventurous, do you want the blue, green, or red light special?”

  “Your choice.”

“Alright,” he said then tasted my lips. When he pulled away, I fought the urge to bring him back to me.

“Blue it is,” he said with a few more clicks of the switch.

His lips returned to mine and savoured them for a little while. Then they began to travel down my neck. I grasped the top of his head. At the same time, his hands skimmed up my torso, tempting my ability to remain standing.

  “I got you,” Hendrix said.

His fingers then unhooked my bra, releasing my breasts. My bra flew onto the bed and Hendrix leaned his forehead into me to flicker his tongue across one of my nipples. The feel of his wet licks released a breath from within me. This man knew exactly what I needed. He moved to the other side and toyed with my other nipple, nibbling and sucking the sensitive tip.

Hendrix rose back up to claim my mouth again, his hands framing my face. Missing the sensations, I threw my arms around his shoulders and enjoyed the touch of my breasts against his hard, sculptured chest.

I wanted to stay there, in the moment, for a few days. With every touch, every kiss, I felt safe and loved in his arms.

His hands, however, had something else in mind and travelled again. They slid down, down, down into my pants and into my panties. One held the cheek of my bottom while the other found a home in between my legs.

I gasped when he began to stroke my wetness and dug my fingers into his shoulders for fear that my knees would buckle. My mouth moaned with approval as he repeated the touch again and again.

Energy built inside me. A few more strokes; I was almost there. My breaths were slow and heavy.

I felt Hendrix stroke me one last time as I fought to keep my eyes open.

“Not yet,” he whispered onto my lips.

My vision cleared. “Hendrix,” I whispered.

He kissed me deep then unbuttoned my pants. They slid off easily along with my panties. The bulge in his pants became more prominent and he freed it, removing his pants as well and the boxers that clung to every inch underneath. His delicious, thick and hearty length stood revealed. I almost drooled at the sight.

“See something you like?” Hendrix said.

  “Obviously, you did,” I said.

“Indeed. Now, come here,” he said and picked me up off of the ground. My legs wrapped around his waist as I throbbed, feeling the need to slide down a little farther and have him inside of me.

Hendrix carried me over to the bed and pulled back the covers. Then laid me down, allowing his eyes to travel across my body. My legs spread open, wanting, needing him now.

He leapt onto the bed and positioned himself on top of me. Our eyes connected as the neon blue light shined on the side of his face.

“I want you so bad right now,” he said, “so bad that I almost forgot.” He rocked back to slide a condom out of the drawer. Then he reconnected his eyes with mine as he ripped open the packet and rolled the contents down his length.

“Now, you sure you don’t want me to stop?” he said. “There’s no turning back. Not after you have this.” A smirk curled his lips.

  I opened my legs wider.

  “Good choice,” he said.

“Hendrix,” I said as he gently guided himself inside, allowing me time to adjust to his width. Slowly, he began to thrust. Already halfway to my peak, I began to moan. His lips found mine to conceal them.

He felt so good, so right. So… mmm.

I reached up to grab some of the sheets as Hendrix’s slow, torturous rhythm had awakened my core. My muscles tightened and relaxed, softly, tasting the tip of pleasure. Seeing to it that I lost all composure, Hendrix pushed in deeper and sped up the tempo.

We gasped together. My legs quaked. I contracted harder and stronger until I reached ecstasy. But Hendrix wasn’t done with me yet.

I cried out as he pumped double time, sending in more powerful waves of pleasure. He let out a deep growl and slowed down his pace to a halt.

I wrapped my arms around him and held him in place. “Again,” I muttered in between deep breaths.

“See,” he said. “It feels good to release some of that tension.”

“Too good. I want some more.”

“My thoughts exactly,” he said and softly kissed my lips. “Blue light again?”

Waking up, I tried to figure out where I was as my eyes adjusted to the light. I moaned and checked the other side of the bed. No one. If it had been a dream, why was I in a room much larger than mine?

A fancy tub with the claw feet sat in the corner, next to the floor to ceiling white, linen blinds. I didn’t have a tub in my room. Too comfortable to investigate, I let my head sink back into the pillows and pulled the white cotton sheets over my shoulder.

About thirty minutes later my eyes opened again, and I drug myself to the bathroom. Seeing that the shower was right there, I freshened up and found a robe. Back in the room, I found my clothes laid out on a black leather chair. I thought I heard something on the other side of the door. Footsteps were getting closer. Someone knocked.

  “Shelia,” Hendrix said.

A sly smile crossed my face. “I don’t know why you’re knocking.”

He entered and sat on the bed. “Good morning. I have some pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage in there for you. I didn’t know what you wanted. I’ll have to get something to eat on the way back.”

  “That’s nice of you. Thanks.”

“So, I have a few business things to do today, but if you’re free this afternoon, we can continue your exercises in releasing that tension.”

  I laughed. “My exercises?”

“Yes. Tickets to a show are not hard to secure, and you have to do the fancy dinner thing tonight. It’s t
he least I could do.”

“You mean you don’t have another woman waiting in line?”

  “You think I’m a playboy?”

  “I know you’re one,” I said.

“I sense that you don’t want to get attached to one, but two days isn’t that long.”

  “Two days?”

“I thought your friends didn’t come in until tomorrow.”

“Wha…? I said that?” There was no way. When did I get so comfortable?

  “You forgot?” he said.

“What else did I say?” I said.

“That the ex of yours was a piece of work, I’m paraphrasing here, and you were glad to find me because you were bored all day without me. So I figured I’d do you another favor and hang out with you once more.”

“There goes that gentlemen behavior again.”

Hendrix chuckled and checked his watch. “Well, I have to be going along my merry way, but stay as long as you like. If you want to hang, I’ll be here later on, so whenever you want to come up here you can.”

“You’re leaving me in your suite?” I said. “I met you less than twelve hours ago. You trust me that much? You’re not worried that your things won’t be here when you get back?”

“No,” he said. “Remember I’m good at tracking you down. And I know where you live, room 2010. And this stuff can be replaced. They’re only material things. See you around.”

  “Bye,” I said.

When the door closed, I was left thinking about two things. One, what type of business was he doing dressed in jeans and a sport hoodie and two, why he trusted me so much. I disagreed with him on the trusting a random person issue. I definitely wouldn’t have left them in my luxury suite.

So his beliefs influenced me to become nosey. I couldn’t help but to open the closet, which was nice. It wasn’t full sized but much bigger than normal hotel offerings. His suits and dress shirts hung above while his luggage was neatly placed below.

Leaving the bedroom, into the living area, I was in awe. Earlier that morning, I didn’t seem to notice anything other than Hendrix. And the curtains were drawn, so I didn’t see that one wall was almost entirely made up of windows. The layout of the room was nice too. Free from walls, the gold, purple, and black themed living area was divided into a few zones.

In one space, a pair of black couches and gold ottomans were set up so you could watch the city through the giant window or lie back with the TV. A black dining room table and chairs filled the area on the opposite side. Towards the other end of the room, a pool table shared the theme by contributing a royal purple bed cloth, which covered the playing field. The table was next to the gold tiled hot tub. Both of these entertainment pieces were seated along the windows as well.

A small kitchenette, consisting of a refrigerator, bar, and microwave, occupied the hotel side of the wall, and a small closed door, next to another bedroom area, led to a treadmill, exercise bike, a bookcase full of towels, and a smaller TV. Whoa! It was like he was living in a second home.

Roaming back towards Hendrix’s bedroom, I saw that the food had been laid out under covered trays on the table. I sat down and had picked up a cover when I heard the door open, well try to. I gasped and squeezed the opening of my robe together as I waited to see if the person could get in. I put the cover down quietly. Housekeeping wouldn’t have attempted to open the door without announcing themselves first. On the second try the door swung open and Hendrix scurried in.

I exhaled. “I thought you were gone.”

“You didn’t eat yet did you?” he said.

  “No.”

“Let’s go to this place known for breakfast. It’s really good.”

  “What about all of this?”

“I’ll have it for lunch or breakfast another day.” He began to gather the trays. “Do you have time to go?”

  “Yeah,” I said.

“Great! I’ll put this up while you get dressed. I can meet you in the lobby.”

After gathering my clothes, and changing into a fresh set in my room, I met Hendrix downstairs. The restaurant wasn’t that far away, so we got some exercise in. Already packed with people, we waited for a little while in the lobby.

“Whatever you had to do this morning, you took care of fast,” I said after I skimmed over the place.

“Yeah, um,” Hendrix said. “My services were no longer needed.”

  “I’m sorry.”

“No, don’t be. It’s a good thing. I was supposed to meet them, but I’ll see them later on.”

  “Friends?”

  “Parents.”

  “I understand.”

“And parents’ friends who also matchmakers.”

“Oh, so they’re on you now?” I asked.

“Afraid so. Mother wants grandbabies while she’s young, and they better not be by those ‘gold digger hussies,’ her words. I’m waiting for the day they’ll send me an approved list.”

  “Wow.”

  “Yeah, so—”

“Hendrix party of two,” a host said.

We sat at a half booth in the middle area of the place. I was along the booth, facing the entrance to the restaurant while Hendrix sat in a chair across from me. After ordering, we discussed random things until he happened to hear something.

  “What is it?” I asked.

Hendrix peeped to his left and saw someone he didn’t want to see. “Shoot,” he said and flung his hoodie over his head. To make sure that person didn’t see him, his elbow flew on the table and he rested his head on his palm.

I casually glanced over to the waiting area. It was hard to tell who he was hiding from. No one appeared to be dangerous.

“Right this way ma’am,” a hostess said as she passed our table with a set of older people following her. The hostess tried to take them to the section behind me, but the woman said that she didn’t care for that section and wanted to be placed in a VIP room that was on the side behind Hendrix.

When I confirmed that they were further away, Hendrix kept his eye on the group until they disappeared into the VIP quarters. He huffed and shook his head. “My family.”

“The way you were acting, I thought you owed them money.”

He chuckled. “No. Those are my parents and their friends. The match makers.”

“Ah. So…why don’t you want to see them? Scared they’ll embarrass you with a love connection?”

“Nothing like that. I don’t want to put you in their crossfire that’s all. Trust me. You don’t want them to know you until it’s the right time. And then you’d probably want to keep your distance. They’re not very friendly unless they like you. They’re very judgmental. It’s for the best.” He rested his hand on mine and rubbed his thumb across a little bit.

“OK,” I said. “It’s quite the coincidence that they showed up when we did. They must have a tracking device on you. Do they live here?”

A smirk raised Hendrix’s lips. “They just arrived an hour or so ago at the airport. We’re all here for my friend’s wedding.”

“Oh wow! That should be fun. Why are you hanging with me then?”

“I’m in the same situation as you. I came early to take care of some things. My friends will be here tomorrow, and that’s when the fun happens. His bachelor pre-party is that night.”

“You know what’s funny?” I said. “I’m here for a bachelorette party that’s going to take place. I don’t even know when. We have a few days to figure it out.”

“I would have pinned you for one to put the party together.”

I laughed. “That’s not my thing, and besides I was pushed out of the position.”

“You and drama don’t seem to go together. What’s the story?”

“It was a battle over the best friend title.”

  “Makes sense,” he said.

“My best friend, who I met in the fifth grade, is also best friends with this girl she met in the third grade,” I said. “We all went through school together, but me and the other girl
never really got along as good friends. She’ll say she’s confident, but she’s arrogant and conniving at times.

“Anyway, my friend felt so pressured by the situation that she didn’t ask anyone to be her maid of honor. I learned that from her sister, who wanted nothing to do with the conflict. So we when we went to find bridesmaid dresses, my friend had the three of us—her sister, me, and the other girl, modeling these different gowns.

“Well, the dresses I was given to try on were a little more unique than the other two,” I continued. “At the end of the appointment, we were in the dresses my friend wanted us to wear. She let us know, and the other friend started saying, ‘I’m getting the gown Shelia’s wearing right?’ My friend said she wasn’t. I was the maid of honor.

“Those words were like gasoline. The girl began to throw a fit. I offered to be the co-maid of honor, and even have fewer duties, but the girl looked me up and down and returned to her tantrum. My friend didn’t back down, but I did because I was tired.”

“I’d love to go to that wedding,” Hendrix said, laughing. “Sparks are bound to fly.”

“If they are, I’m catching them. My friend doesn’t deserve that. I may come out of my element and start regulating the situation if I have to.”

“Look at my little firecracker,” Hendrix said.

“Your?” Is he genuinely interested in me?

“Our contract doesn’t expire until sometime after midnight.”

  “I see.” Yeah, he is.

We were able to eat without the threat of Hendrix’s parents, but once we were done, we left in an instant. Hendrix dropped me off at the hotel lobby and escaped back into the daylight. No, I don’t think he is that interested. I sighed. I was becoming too attached to him. An escort to my room would have been nice.

  Chapter 5

  Londyn

In the afternoon, after strolling down Las Vegas Blvd again, I changed clothes. My black, one piece swimsuit, simple with a few cut outs, fit me better than I remembered. I paired it up with a thin, calf length, fuchsia and white cover up.
